NEIC is a well established company having been in existence since 1980. Its culture is naturally innovative and progressive, geared towards the changing needs of the manufacturing industry. Although NEIC is established as a "Not-for-Profit" company, it does operate commercially in a number of areas.

Facilities

NEIC's facilities include all equipment necessary to design and manufacture turnkey engineered systems. The NEIC Design Department  utilises  CAD and 3D solid modeling software. NEIC also offers a fully equipped machine shop and fabrication facility whilst the Electronics Department produces hardwiring and PLC/IPC control system work.

The flexibility of the NEIC premises in Gateshead leads many companies in the North East to use it as their surrogate R&D facility.
