AutoLift

The Automatic Tablet Lifter For Blister Pack Machine Feeding

AutoLift is designed to automatically load pills/tablets into the hopper feed of blister pack machines where these hoppers are located 1.5 to 2 metres above floor level.

The operator loads a cardboard box of tablets into the machine, the box being lined with a plastic bag.

A clamping bezel is placed over the top of the box to keep it in place during lifting.

The box is secured in place and the operator closes an interlocked guard and presses a start switch.

The box is then elevated to the height of the blister pack machine's hopper feed and the box tipped, emptying the contents into the hopper.

The speed of tipping is variable to allow a gentle flow of product to be achieved, thereby minimising the risk of tablet damage and spillage.

The facility to link the tablet loader to high and low level sensors on the blister pack machine hopper is also incorporated which allows the tipping action to be halted when the hopper is full and restarted once the tablet level falls.

The benefits of AutoLift are:

Reduces manual handling thereby minimising the risk of operator injury.

Reduces the risk of tablet damage - no more need to use scoops to transfer pills from boxes into feed hoppers.

The boxed product material does not come into contact with the lifting mechanism which:

Reduces the risk of cross contamination during product changeover.

Reduces clean down times.

Small footprint allows multiple installations where two or three variants of tablet are packed into the same blister, i.e. contraceptive pills.

Portable - can be wheeled away from blister pack machine when not required. · Large lifting capacity of 12kg.

Quick cycle time - lifting cycle less than 5 seconds - tipping cycle variable to suit product.

The latest model of AutoLift will be available from July 2002 and will feature an enhanced operator interface and lighter overall weight for increased portability.
